Metabolic Rate is Fundamental for Wellbeing

Strength Training — also known as Weight or Resistance Training — is physical activity designed to improve muscular strength and fitness by exercising a specific muscle or muscle group against an external resistance, including free weights, weight machines, or your own body weight, this definition comes from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in America.

Increasing muscle strength provides better balance and coordination, it enhances your quality of life, your ability to do everyday chores, activities and recreational pastimes.

Weight training exercises performed with good form and range of motion improve joint alignment and joint stability to reduce pain and avoid injury.

Maintaining a resistance training regime will build lean muscle mass so you can manage or lose weight.
Strength training raises your basal metabolic rate (BMR) so you burn more calories when you’re resting and far more when you’re moving!
That’s right, gaining 2kgs of lean muscle mass will increase your BMR by 300 calories per day at rest, then during exercise or daily functional movement efforts that extra 300 calories per day snowballs into many more burnt calories!

A Strength Training Exercise Regime is so very important for optimal health and wellbeing, everyone must have one to complete each and every week!
